Hi folks. Seems that technology has moved past allot of the stickies here.
With generator not selling his Navbox anymore and me wanting to add a Xbox or H.D. Media Player or Carputer to my 'soon to be outta the factory' MO I'd like to see what options we have available these days.
If you have any suggestions or more importantly, just dump a link into the thread of any new products that allow video and or audio integration for our happy MO.
Thank you for the information.

I am horrified that even the new Mo doesn't have a USB interface.
How cheap and easy would that be to do? And think of the possibilities.....awesomeness for sure.
Geeeze designers, get off ur ass and put a USB interface/carputer in every car. I'd gladly pay the $250 for the $150 you put into it.
 |

hello again hudaman,
looks like you're going down the same path that i was last year. anyways check out my past posts, like this one:
http://www.nissanmurano.org/forums/...p?threadid=7770
i bought a navtool video converter for the video part, then the pac nis2 for the audio part. you don't have to splice anything since everything is a straight plug in...meaning just in case if you need warranty work, everything unplugs and no one can tell you've done any mods to the car.
if i remember correct, the video converter was $240 shipped, and the pac now is under $100 shipped(i spent about $110 6 months ago).
coolmomo, to answer your question the screen on the mo can not display hd. so you'll be wasting money trying to get a hd video converter unless you install a hd screen. i just use my x-box to play games and dvd movies, displaying on the info screen in the mo. |

oh, i was not refferin to the HD resolutions.
i was actually asking if this kind of box would work in the Mo screen.
i think this one would work with VGA cables.. no?
i don't want xbox.. i don't play game in the car..
just wanna watch some movie clips with mp3 songs.. |

| after a brief glace, i think it will work. but all the prices that i could find on it is around 300 pounds = $450 dollars. at that price, i don't think it's worth it. plus with 1080p capability, it's hard drive limit is only 500gb. which is only about 10 blue ray dvds. |
