What does your XM display look like? - Click HERE for Original Thread

I have a question for those who have XM radio in their Murano. After seeing the XM service that came with my new Altima, my wife wanted to get XM in her 2006 Murano. I ordered the OEM kit from Lee Auto, and following the install documentation and the knowledge gained from reading the forums here, I had XM in her Murano in about 4 hours. Everything went smooth with the hardest part being snaking the coax cable from the antenna to the receiver. After activation, everything seemed to be working fine. Now, about a week later, I was driving her car and looked at the video display and it didn't look right. The XM channel number was displayed but nothing else. Changing the channel caused the channel name to appear, but there is no text showing the current song title and artist. Is this normal on the Murano? I have all of this information on the Altima's display.

Thanks for the feedback!

Push the TUNE knob in and the other info should appear. However, each time the radio is turned off, the setting goes back to only showing the topmost line. Go through the menu settings and you should find a section to select either channel number or name to appear in the first line as a default. However, there is no selection to cause the full information to display each time the radio is turned on. At least this is the way it works on my '03

On my 2007 with XM the display stays the way you set it unless you happen to push a button by mistake. I have a DISP button that will cycle through the displayed information, once you like the info you have stop and it stays that way no matter how many times you cycle the power.

My '05 works the same way as rwm3100. Every time I start the car, I have to push the "tune" nob. Kind of annoying, but I've gotten used to it.

Same thing happens when using the Ipod adapter (which makes sense since it's just using the XM feed). Just shows the top line (channel/track number) and the whole rest of the display is blank until I hit the "tune" nob.

These guys are lame at times. They get behind the curve and then rush implementations.
