Seriously,
When I take off or slow down, it sounds like there is water gurgling around in my roof.
Has anyone heard of this? If so, what did you do to fix it?
I'm seriously wondering if there is a plug that I can pull or something. |

| Have you inspected the roof area for damage to rail covers, etc. |

Crash-
My guess is that the sunroof drain(s) is clogged. Water in getting into the drain but the exit point is blocked.

Roof is fine, and I've got no after market rails.
Is there a way to check about the blocked drain on the sunroof? Location / how to?
BUGGER! |

crash-
I don't have a sunroof so it is hard to say for sure where the drains are located.
My suggestion is to open the sunroof and look around the perimeter of the opening for a 1/4" hole or holes. My guess is that they will be located on either the leading or trailing edge of the roof line.

Out of curiosity, do you have the sunroof wind deflector installed? I used to get a gurgling sound after a wash or rain when I drove over ~30MPH. Being an engineer I probably overanalyzed it, but I concluded that some water was getting trapped behind the deflector and then airflow around the deflector was causing it to slosh around. I removed the deflector and have never heard the sound again!
Sounds like yours might happen as lower speed though, so maybe it's a different issue entirely.:8: |

I too have definitely noticed this.
The only other gurgling I know about is the sound when the engine is first warming up. A gurgle can be heard behind the glove box area, and I believe is coolant entering the heater core. |

My sunroof leaked into my headliner this morning.
The drain holes are at the front left and right corners. You can use a small wire to clear them and then I used 1/4 inch hose on the end of the airgun from my compressor to blow them out.
Would be a good idea for anyone with a sunroof to do to prevent a leak. I found a fair number of posts on it while looking up the problem today. |
