Anyone ever tried connecting a laptop to there LCD?
If we / I could make this work the possibilities are unlimited, watch DVDs, access internet by connecting through a PDA, display moving map using Microsoft streets, etc….
Can anyone offer assistants making this work… my computer does not have a yellow video out. I do have three video out options, DVI, S-Video, and the standard 15 pin connector.
Oh, btw... my Murano is a 2006 S Model.. I have added HIDs, full Leather with seat heaters, and projector fogs. Next is to add switches to make the drivers seat 8 way power. And of course to connect my laptop to the LCD.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

why connect laptop to MO lcd screen for,
when you can do all that using the laptop screen.
I mean think about it,an open big old laptop in passenger seat with wires running thru the back of the dashboard just to be able to see everything that you can see in the lap thru M0 screen. |

Dale-
Other members have installed carputers in their MO, so I would think it is a good bet you could do the same with a laptop.

njjoe,
Any idea where I could get the info to connect my computer to the Murano LCD... should be pretty simple to just have the LCD act as a second monitor. I am currently running two Dell 24" monitors on an XPS 1710 laptop. I don't see how it could be that difficult to connect to the Murnao LCD. |

Maybe I missed the thread, but I have looked high and low across the network and found nothing about using the existing LCD as a monitor for a laptop. Plenty of post to connect a RCA input but nothing about connecting a PC...
I posted this same thread in the A/E section. We will see? |

The Xbox has way to many limitations: no satellite therefore no moving map... no way to connect to Internet through my PDA... etc...
I want to connect a PC to the display and have unlimited options... you would think it should be fairly simple to connect without spending hundreds of dollars on a RCA sink converter... but hey I am open for suggestions?
thanks,
