My '04 did it and now my '07 as well. Any of you guys is annoyed by this squeeky sound when the brake pedal is released?
Is there a way to lubricate the damn thing so it gpes silent?

Are you referring to the actual brake pedal or the brakes themselves? I have an annoying high pitched noise coming from the brakes when they are cold, if that is what you are referring to.
I took it to the dealer and told him to check it...he re-lubricated them but that still didn't work..so i just deal with it |

| I looked in the TSBs but it only applies up to 2006 and not 2007. I'll have it replaced anyway... :) Thanks guys! |

This problem has been around since 2003. It appears on a handful of MOs every year. People have tried oiling and spraying the pivot point with little success. The only real solution is to have the dealer replace the pedal assembly.

Does the "squeak" sound like a goose honking? If so, it's on both mine and my Mom's MO. I keep forgetting to post a question about this, but lo and behold, we already have this thread about it. Thanks again go to NissanMurano.org! You guys rock!

To my knowledge, almost all MOs have this problem, intermittently for most.
There is a TSB for this problem. The dealer has to replace the brake pedal assembly and not only the brake switch but we are in 2007 and my 2007 is squeeking as badly as my previous 04 so I'm almost convinced that if they did not get this right within the last 6 years, there is nothing that will fix this with a replacement of this pedal assembly. |

Thanks for the info. My mom and I both have '06 models, so we thought it might be relegated to being that year only, but I guess not. Oh well... guess I'll file this under the "grin and bear it" folder.

First week of owning my MO it started having a squeek when the brake pedal released and also when stopping in reverse mode.
I took it to my Dealer Northbay Nissan, Petaluma,CA. (Referred as one of the Best in North CA.).
Here are the notes from the service report:
1.) Customer states brake pedal sqeaks. Confirmed noise. Brake Switch noisy. Service Bulletin NTB07-003A
Installed new brake switch to prevent noise. Rechecked and confirmed noise is gone.
2.) Customer states brake squeak when backing up and confirmed squeak. Service Bulletin appleis NTB07-012.
Replaced front brake pads and resurfaced rotors to solve noise.
Road tested to confirm repairs.
That was 8 weeks ago and I have not heard any further squeaking.
