I have a new 2007 Murano and I wondered what tips you may have for mounting a small cell phone in or around the dash so that I can see it from the drivers seat (so I know when I have a message). The phone is an LG with the power cord attaching to the bottom of the phone.
ALSO: since the power outlets go dead when the ignition is off, is there an easy way to get always on power to a cell phone power outlet?
Thanks for your help! |

TJ-
Are you aware that on certain (all?) LG phones you can configure it so that when a message is received it will make a sound? That way you don't need to see the display.
If you want to make one of the outlet always hot you will need to run a dedicated circuit direct to the battery. The downside to this is that it is possible to drain the battery if the load is large enough or is left on for a long enough time.

I have a 2007 as well. I went with a Panavise Bracket, it is a custom fit to the vehicle and doesn't require you to drill any holes. You can also use a Pro-fit but it mounts on the top of the stereo pod rather than the bottom. You can purchase a Proclip custom mount to fit your phone and then it is always viewable when the phone rings.

They do have the best combinations of clips and mounts for the MO and most other vehicles as well. |

Agree.
I use a proclip for my GPS. Amazingly perfect fit.
It's in my gallery. |
