Hi,
I looked around for other posts on this topic and didn't see any. If you know of any please direct me there.
My Murano 2004 has 60,000 mi. For the last 6 months when I start it doesn't quite catch as if idle is too low. On second try it usually starts. Usually when it sits overnight it starts ok, it is more of a problem when it is kind of warm.
I asked them to check and reset the idle on a 60K service call, but it is still behaving the same way.
Any ideas?
thanks,
Scott C. |

Scott-
Did you see any improvement at all after the 60K service?

| Ask them to do an "Idle Air Volume Re-learn". That should fix it. The other option is, goose the gas just as the RPMs start to fall, and it will stay running. There are several posts about this problem, but you won't find any more info than what I just gave you. |

thanks for the thread pointer. If necessary I will follow up to that thread.
It is interesting (now that I read that whole story) that the dealer recommended a "throttle body adjustment and idle re-learn" during my 60k service when I told them about the idle problem but they wanted $160 for it so I said no. |

| An Idle Air Volume Relearn should be about $20-$30. I don't know, as I never bothered getting it done. All they have to do is hook it up to their Consult-II computer, start the car, push a few buttons, and that's it. Shouldn't take more than 15 minutes. |
