It’s been mentioned by the above individual many times, and he also called us by names (“maintenance maniacs”!). Right now we demand an apology! We have had enough! We are really just a bunch of car guys who barely trying to keep up (not very successfully) with most up-to-date car maintenance practices. Why I am saying “barely”? The latest recommendations from experts on Bob-the-oil-guy call for:
- change engine oil after initial 500 miles
- change transmission fluid after initial 15k miles
- replace transmission fluid every 15k miles
Now, who is the “maintenance maniac" J

I think the word was "lunatics".
Bob-the-oil-guy never drove a car with a CVT protected by Nissan's mystery tranny oil with a life expectancy of 1,000,000 miles.
I stand by my contention that you and the other maintenance fanatics on this forum (you know who you are) are lunatics who probably change the air in your spare tires on a regular basis.
