Forum Poll Mechanics Question - Click HERE for Original Thread
MVTCFP
Whenever I try to "vote" in a poll I get the following popup:

"The action you have attempted could not be performed as your session appears to be invalid. Click the below link to attempt this action again with a new session. "

When I click the "below link" it says I have no thread selected.

What gives? If it makes any difference, I'm a registered Democrat but never pull a straight party ticket....

Yeah and while I'm at it, what's with this "Junior Member" status? I'm not bragging or nothing but "Junior" and "Member" have never been phrased to me together before... At least not to my face...

Don't know what's going on with your polls, maybe a cookies configuration problem. (I still like Oreos...)

As far as Junior/Senior, it's just a matter of how much you :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah:

I've made a small change to your profile, see if you get the same problem when trying to vote.

You re-registered him as a Republican?

Seems like a small price to pay for access to the best forum on the internet.

Well, I tried to vote and got the same message. Am I the only one suffering this fate? Thanks for the effort though, it is appreciated.

Hey Homer... I saw my first Bell-Ringer this past weekend. I dropped a buck in the bucket (hmmm, "Buck"..."Bucket," coincidence?) Anyway, rather than just throw in 3 bucks once, I'm gonna toss in a $1 bill EVERY TIME I pass one of these folks. We'll eventually figure the true cost of a cargo net. Based on my Santa duties, I'm guessing it'll put me in the $40-$50 dollar range. I'd start a poll but, er, nevermind...

OK. Whatever you do for the Salvation Army is a good thing.

Now on to the Vote thing.

sounds like you have a corrupted cookie.

Don't know all about all the various Operating Systems but I'l tell you what you have to do on Millenium Edition and if you have something different maybe you can figure out how to do it on your OS.
Maybe somebody here can help if you have XP or somesuch.

The whole idea is to delete the cookie for Murano.org and then resend one when you log back on.

So the first thing to do is log off.
Then log back on and try voting again.

And if that doens't work then......

open your "Tools" menu.
On ME that's at the top between the "Favorites" and the "Help".
Select "INternet Options".
Make sure the Tab is selected for "General".
Go down the page about halfway to "Temprary Internet Files"
and select "Delete Files'.

Now this will force new cookies to be exchanged when you go to Every Site.
This mean that on most sites you will have to logon again.

Hope it works.

Same thing with XP just about. Just click on tools at the top, then internet options, then delete files, delete cookies, and delete history if you want to.
I delete files every couple of days, and cookies every few days as well. No real need for them.
I also use a program called lavasoft adaware 6 to check and clean your computer from spyware, which are usually associated with cookies.
