intelli key "beep" - Click HERE for Original Thread

ok, just an idea, but i think it'd be cool. I like the way the car locks and unlocks w/ the intelli key button (on the handle) Is there ANY way you can program the FOB to "beep" when you press lock/unlock instead of chirping the horn?

i was thinking the same thing. i never used the fob because i hate the honk you get when you lock or unlock the doors and i like to have something audible to let me know that they are what they are. all acuras have the beep when you unlock/lock the doors with the fob, why can't we.

You can turn the honk off, I don't believe you can get it to beep though w/ the remote.

Can't you do this through the Settings function? I know there are a variety of honk/chirp features...

I too have thought about the beep -vs- honk, and I have come to the conclusion that the fob can be activated from further way, therefore you need more sound to alert you. Often when you lock the doors with the Intell-Button (for the lack of a better term), I can barely here the chirp/beep if your in a noisily location.
Plus if you forget where you parked your MO in the parking lot, and you need to hear the honk to find the car :2: ...

Regardless of the setting, you can always activate the horn by using your panic button on the fob to locate your car.
