Anyone add just tweeters to the rear Bose speakers? - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hello everyone,
I just added the Ipod interface to my new 2003 Murano (New to me).Works awesome and sounds decent.
I feel a little more treble to the rear would be a plus.
Are the rear speakers a full range signal from the Bose amp?I thought I read somewhere that they were crossed over from the amp at 5000 hz to 12000 hz.
I could be wrong on this.
All I wanted to do is wire a set of flush tweeters across the rear speakers to bring the treble up a bit.
Any help would be great.
Thanks.

Hi xsparky; The rear speakers are full range 6.5" round ones that get full frequency from the amp. I installed a pair of Hertz Energy 6.5" component speakers that came with a tweeter and woofer and a passive crossover(large resistor-type) which were stalled directly in the doors. What a difference just having the tweeters in the back made! Yes, all Muranos should come with tweets in the rear.... If you do get tweeters; see if they come with crossovers for them or get ones that have a resistor attached to them(the kind that is on the front tweeters). You'll notice a great difference. Hope that helps. John.
