| It seems like the 'not so popular' colors hang around the longest, where I am anyways. I noticed the golds and coppers are the last to go. I really wanted black until I seen the Majestic Blue (Midnight Blue). It is a really rich looking color, especially with the Cafe Latte interior. Check it out in a few of my photos. ;) |

If you want black badly, be prepared to see ever single imperfection..swirl marks, scratches, etc...black shows EVERYTHING
...but if you keep a clean car like i try to do, you should be fine with dealing with it |

| I liked Pewter which was a 2003-2004 color. In 2005 Pewter was replaced by Platinum which is the color I have. Pewter was a metallic beige color and Platinum is a metallic dark gray/silver. |

i was originally looking for Black, but couldnt find a good one. To my eyes, with the privacy glass and the black window trim, adding black paint could make it look like a van (Just my humble opinion)
In the end I went with the Dark Blue. I like the colour and it works well on the car, but it is very dark in most lights and it doesnt really look that metallic on first sight.
For me, the interior was a bigger issue. I dont like beige or red interors, so that seemed to rull out 2/3rds of the cars for sale in Vancouver :D
Personally, I liked Platinuml and bordeaux colours, but they were later MY's
Some pics of my blue MO in my gallery |

I love the pewter color, but as already stated it is no longer available.
I honestly do like the 'orange', but we already have an 'orange' Vibe, and I refuse to have two 'orange' cars. :)
Typically I like gold colored cars, but I'm not a big fan of the shade on the Murano. I can't quite place what it is.
Blue was one of my favorite colors as well.
I previously had a 'burgundy' car, and didn't think I'd ever buy another one. But there's something about merlot that I couldn't resist! You don't see many, and there's something about the shade of the particular Nissan color that's different than other burgundy cars - very deep and rich...
(my apologies for not using the Nissan terminology with exception to merlot). :) |

erik-
Give you local body shop or custom shop a call, let 'em know what you plan to do, and ask for an estimate.

We had a rental gold/chardonnay Murano and I liked it and I've never been a fan of gold/tan/beige cars in the past. It definitely changed colors depending on the light, it had a distinct light green shimmer to it at times. I'm surprised that nobody seems to like it.
That said, I think the Midnight Blue is very classy on a Murano.
Good luck! :) |

| if i could get my hands on a red spice MO with the limited production hazelnut interior, it would be a match made in heaven. |

Your rental car was probably the Pewter color mentioned by others. It was a very nice color and it did have the option of the red interior. |

| no no husky fan. it was the chardoney color that he had as a rental. this is a bit deeper color than the intial luminous gold that was offered, and yes, it did change color depending on the amount of light and angle of view. |

The rental was a 2006 and I see that the 2007 also shows the same 'Chardonnay' color.
Little things amuse me I guess, but although it wouldn't be a color that would initially draw my interest, I did like that the car looked like a completely different color depending on the amount of light. I would consider it when I finally get my Murano. :) |

| if your in a city that observes harsh winters and uses alot of sand and salt, i would advise not to get a white murano. clay baring as turned into a several day affair this year and i'm not thrilled about the amount of rail dust, road tar, and lower door edge rock chips that are visible this year... |
