Hey,
Wanted to know if anyone else had this problem. I have an '04 Murano and I noticed on the driver's side rear and front door that the paint(black) above and around the window to the edge of the door is flaking in large spots(no actual pieces noted but the missing areas are obvious). In fact there may be one or two spots of rust. It is beyond warranty tough I have an extended one. Can I just get "touch-up" paint or should I bring it to the dealer. Any suggestions? Anyone else have this problem?

Read the fine print on your extended warranty. I believe rust is only covered if the metal is rusted through. The warranty may only come into play if the metal panel or trim is perforated. Hopefully I am wrong.

| If it is beyond the warranty then pick up some trim paint at Schucks. It works pretty good if you sand off the loose stuff and clean the surface right. Hopefully it's not rust though, that could be bad. |
