| I HAVE A 2003 NISSAN MURANO SL 2WD WITH THE BOSE SYSTEM AND 6 DISC CD-CHANGER. I WAS DRIVING ONE DAY HEARING THE RADIO AND THE SPEAKERS MADE A POPPING NOISE AND SUDDENLY NO MORE SOUND FROM MY SPEAKERS. SO I WENT TO MY LOCAL STEREO SHOP AND THEY SAID MY "AMPLIFIER" POPPED SO THAT I SHOULD JUST REPLACE IT. SO THEY DID, BUT STILL I GOT NO SOUND FROM MY SPEAKERS. THE SPEAKERS ARE GOOD AND SO IS THE STEREO. THE GUYS AT THE STEREO SHOP LEFT LIKE 3 OR 4 LOSE WIRES THAT THEY CUT OFF FROM THE BOSE AMP. BUT I WENT TO A BETTER STEREO PLACE THEY TOLD ME THAT I NEED TO CONNECT THE WIRE THAT SENDS THE SIGNAL FROM THE STEREO TO THE AMP IN ORDER TO GET SOUND. BUT SINCE THE GUY AT THE STEREO SHOP LEFT THEM CUT OFF AND LOOSE NOW I DONT KNOW WHICH ONE TO CONNECT TO THE AMP OR WHAT TO CONNECT IT WITH. I DONT WANT TO CHANGE OUT MY STEREO AND PUT IN ANOTHER STEREO BECAUSE THEN I WONT BE ABLE TO USE THE CONTROLS ON THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE SOUND FROM MY NAVIGATION WILL BE LOST. DO YOU KNOW WHAT I CAN DO TO GET SOUND??? WHICH LOOSE WIRE I NEED TO CONNECT AND WHERE DO I CONNECT IT??? HOW MUCH WILL U CHARGE ME TO FIX IT??? IVE ALREADY SPENT LIKE 500 BUCKS TRYING TO GET THIS FIXED... AND IM TIRED OF SPENDING MONEY ON GUYS WHO DONT KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING... THANKS MAN!! |

helpless23-
First of all, turn the CAPS LOCK off.
Secondly, go back to the first stereo shop and have them replace the amp once again, but this time demand that they not cut off any wires. That is downright stupid of them. How did they expect the system to work if they cut the wires?
Lastly, take your MO to a reputable stereo shop and have them properly diagnose the problem.

| And demand your money back from the first shop. Its one thing to have to pay for time to troubleshoot a problem, but another to go in a cut factory wiring to install an aftermarket amp that at the end of the day still doesnt work. |

Is this sort of thing covered in the warranty?
What if you took it to a Nissan dealer?
Please let us know what becomes of your situation with the stereo, I am sure we would all like to know what happens to we know what to look out for in the future if something like this happens to any of us. |

TM-
It's a 2003 MO. The warranty ship set sail almost two years ago. An extended warranty might cover it, but helpless23 made no mention of having one.

| The only extended warranty that may cover it is the prefered gold. Even that I think had a exclusion for audio. |
