Heated Seats Question - Click HERE for Original Thread
explorer3178
Hey guys, I just traded in my 03 trailblazer LTZ and got a fully loaded 07 SL AWD. Thanks to reading all about the murano from this site, I picked it over the RDX. Here is my question or problem.

Driver heated seats doesn't work? Well it gives "Like" a small burst of heat in the beginning like it wants to warm up, but just stops and never gets warm! Now the passenger is perfect. I checkd the fuse box but since there is one fuse for both seats that can't be the problem. I read in the owners manual about thermostat for the heated seats. Any idea what could be wrong? ofcourse I can go to the dealership and I will but I rather handle it myself if I can.

Guys thanks for the help in advance and keep up the great work on this sites, thanks to everyone's post I am a happy owner!!

Did you try the seat while sitting in it, or did you just turn it on and check it with your hand? Not sure if it makes a difference, but it might.

Both really, I sat in it and you can feel it get warm but then it stops, and then after couple of minutes it will be cool again. It really seems like there is a temperture setting on it, that is what it feels like

It is a two way switch. You press the side toward the front to heat up, and toward the back to maintain....

-- I thought the "up" was for high and "toward the back" is low?

you are right. If it behaves in any other way you have a problem. Take it to a dealer.....

It is probably going to require removal of the seat and then removal of the cushion. They may be able to just do the cushion while it's in the car. BUT then you are sol most likely a new thermostat, or more. A real pain let them do it and head a bok or go home. or test drive the new Altma Hybrid and think of 37 miles per gal. :D

Hybird Altima.. 37 MPG.... Grip you don't honestly belive that do you?
