Hi guys.
I´m having a problem with my MO...let´s see if someone can help me....

I hit a post trying to park ( the rear bumper)... wasnt that much, but I´ll need to fix it or chage it for a new one.

I ended parking the MO with no more problems, and I left.

Like an hour after, I came back to the car and tryed to started it, but it doen´t start.

What a strange??, the hit wasn´t that big....wasnt in the front also....is it a coincidence?, some know waht could happen?

Thanks guys...Hope someone can help

Here I post some pics of the Mo....as you can see the hit wasnt that much....how it comes that is not starting now??
Lightninrod
I d/k about our Mos but my 2001 F150 Lightning has a sensor in the rear and if it receives a hard enough(?) hit, it shuts off the fuel pump.

Hi Lightninrod ;

And if that happens...what can I do?

Thanks
Eric L.
You'll probably need to get a tow to the dealer for them to reset whatever it is that disabled the fuel pump, if that is your issue.

Everything else ok? Hate to state the obvious, but is there gas in the tank?
yulz
Hi Eric;
Yes, the tank is almost half full.
I doesnt even make the normal noise, trying to start it...and the batery is ok (I can turn the radio and ligths).
I know that I ´ll need to get a tow to the dealer on monday... :(

Thanks for the reply

Oh so its not cranking at all? Does it "whirr whirr whirr" but doesn't catch, or is there no noise when you turn the key? If nothing, it might be a problem with the antitheft system.
yulz
Thats it....

"whirr whirr whirr" but doesn't catch.
yulz
like an electric noise

Even if you step on the gas pedal while its cranking? If it still won't start, its the fuel pump and you'll need a tow.
yulz
The engine is not making any sound at all....is an electrical sound.
so I dont know about the fuel thing...
yulz
and in case that is a sensor thing..... could I solve it , by taking out the battery and then on again??

You don't have anything to lose by disconnecting the negative cable on the battery and reconnecting after 20 minutes or so. I say go for it.
yulz
I´ll try it....I´ll tell you if it works..I hope it does!!:)

thanks zebelkhan

Just don't forget you will lose radio and seat memory/presets by doing this. Small price to pay if it works IMHO...
yulz
It didn´t work!!! :(
Same electrical noise...no engine at all

Thanks anyways for the help :)
Gonzo
Read the codes and see if the MO reports anything.

Hey!!...I just learn how to put a quote.. lol ( I´m new in all this things) :)

Sorry Gonzo...what are the codes?..you mean the front panel...It doesnt say anything new in there...
Lightninrod
yulz: It's called an Inertia Switch by Ford. It's under the rt. kick panel under the dash in a F150 but since you have a Mo, I d/k where it is or even if it has one.

If you have a service manul (can be downloaded from Nissan's site for $20) or search on this site you can find how to retrieve malfunction codes from the on board computer. It may provide a code as to what is wrong. Otherwise you can let the dealer "help" you. ;)

Do the brake lights still work? Maybe the starter will not energize if the brake lights are out.

Yes, of course...tha battery had a warranty, only 4 months old!!!

Eric, do you know where can I buy the tail lamp?
I ´m looking at ebay...but I can find the ´06 one..

I live in Dominican Rep. and if I buy it from the dealer here, it will cost me (only the left one) about 450 Us dollars....and I know that in US it will cost me around 200 $.
Do you Know another internet shop where I could buy a new ligth?

Thanks :)
