Interesting info on Murano 2003 MPG from Government site:
New EPA MPG
18 city; 20 combined; 23 Hwy
Drivers experience
14 city; 19 combined; 23 Hwy
My experience
16 city; 20 combined; 24 Hwy
So the conclusion – the new EPA are quite close to reality. At least this is my experience. |

| I have been doing a bunch of research in the subject lately and the new EPA rating (generally about a 10%-12% reduction) from former rating are about as goo as can be done for such a wide population. I thing the Government took a long time to get there but have finally done it. Good Job guys (if any of them ever read this forum) |

went from 39 down to 34 I am personally planning on 36 after reading a lot of posts from indivuals that own them and the kind og driving I do That will more than double what I get on the Phaeton and moves form Premimium to regular so gas is in effect $1.46 per gal instead of $3.39 that they charge around here dor high tst. exactly |

| I think the EPA numbers are still too high, but thats just my opinion. I get 15 city, 21-22 highway under optimal conditions, and joe already knows I'm a maintenance nazi for the MO. |

| I used to get like 16 to 16.5 using 93 octane. I put in the Injen CAI and seem to get around 17.5 to 18 mpg now. I really haven't changed my driving any...if anything I stomp on it more now that I have the CAI :) |

| Could the pumping losses be less? Seems like you would just be opening the throttle wider to creat the same amount of vacumm inthe intake manifold. Realy wonder why? |
