Yeah, we got a new Murano !!

We had some trouble with the dealership that's been dragging out a few weeks now...looooong story! Anyway, although we were planning on getting a used one with more bells & whistles we couldn't resist the deal for this brand new one. (We were both ready to part ways) We got an S model with convenience package and other typical options like carpeted floormats, splashguards, etc. We decided on the Merlot color and I LOVE it!! We got the tan interior we wanted because the black just wouldn't work with our white, shedding dog.
There aren't many differences between this one and the Chardonnay '06 we were using. It has a chrome piece on the back bumper which the other didn't have and the only other thing is that in the 06 the door lock buttons didn't have symbols, just little lines. It was confusing and I'm so glad this one actually has a little picture of a locked lock and an unlocked lock. I have to remember enough things in life, I like the convenience of pictures so I don't have to think. ;) Not sure what other little changes there might be, we're still exploring.

We're really glad we chose the Merlot color. I like how in the sun it is a pretty burgandy with those pearl sparkles but when it's overcast it's such a deep, rich shade, almost to brown. It's a very elegant color IMHO. (yes, I'm in love!) I like the pinstripe too, it stands out nicely against the color. I'm not sure if it is my imagination or not but I do think having a darker exterior color is helping with the glare. I can still see the dash but it's just there, not as distracting as with the Chardonnay exterior.

Well, enough babbling, going out to stare at the car again!! :2:

We recently got our first MO; a Glacier Pearl SL and we too love ours. Good deal on finding just what you wanted!

a little update...
I'm really loving our new Murano! Only 500 miles on it so far, I hope to get some real driving in soon. We have taken our family and neighbors on test drives and nobody can believe how much room this car has! When I look at it all by itself it looks like it is small but then when we pull up next to another car or just experience the roomy interior it's so big! The exterior design really is deceiving.
We used it to go to take my parents out for my Dad's 70th birthday and it was so nice for them to be able to get in and out easily and to be able to stretch their legs out in the backseat!! Everyone in my family is tall and it's so nice not to feel like you're stuffed into a clown car!

The only mod I think we may do at this point is look into different headlights. They work well on highbeam but on low there doesn't seem to be much visibility and we live in the country with lots of curves and hills and deer. If someone can point me in the direction of what lights would work well and not be too hard to install, I'd appreciate it. Then I can show it to my husband.
Thanks!

Lights. DO NOT go with any of the cheap bulbs on ebay! The only way to do this right is to install the OEM HID heallight units. It probably will cost you at least $500, and be a little work, but you would be wasting your money to do anything else....
