Quite frankly I think all the media attention actually benefits her, even though she is still going to jail. In the end, I am relieved to see that they did not opt for "celebrity justice" the second time around and made her serve out the full sentence.
I heard the whole gamut of explainations why she was released early initially, from refusing to eat to cocaine withdrawl. Who knows why. |

A lack of equal treatment under the law.
As I understand it:
1. Arrested for DUI
2. License Suspended
3. Suspension time elapsed.
4. Drove.
5. Arrested for driving while license suspended.
6. Claimed did not know had to go to DMV for reinstatement of License, thought that once time was elapsed could drive.
7. Arrested
8. Pleaded No contest in court and sentenced to 45 days
The 45 day sentences was VERY extreme as compared to other sentences for the same driving while license suspended. Vast majority for even repet offences are a fine.
Therefor was not an equal treatment under the law.
Folks may be offended or jealous of her for their own reasons that should not effect the sentence. |
