| Still weeping oil from the seam between the lower oil pan and the upper oil pan. I cannot find a gasket for this placement. Does the seam use liquid gasket maker (silicon sealer) or am I missing something. I see from researching the parts sites that the upper pan uses two pieces of gasket and a Nissan gasket maker sealer for the remaining areas. I do not want to remove the lower pan without having the proper replacement gasket or sealer ready for reassembly. Looking at the seam there appears to be some kind of white rubbery foamy material squeezed out from the pinch area. Does anyone know if this is the "Nissan gasket maker" in a tube? Also, can anyone tell me the proper torque for the lower engine oil pan mounting bolts and if there is a specific tightening pattern or sequence for the bolts? Thanks a lot. Gp |

Gp-
There is no gasket for the lower oil pan. The Service Manual indicates you are to use "Genuine RTV Silicon Sealant or equivalent".
The ten oil pan bolts are to be torqued to 88 inch-pounds. That is inch-pounds not foot-pounds.
The diagram for the tightening sequence is posted below.
I hope this helps.
