Does anybody knows If it is possible to make a small third row for the Murano?
At least a third row that will be suitable for a child?
Please advice Thanks:confused: |

| Wash your mouth out with soap! The lack of a third row is one thing that makes a MO a MO! |

Are you asking if it is possible to make your own third row seat for children? Do NOT even consider it. It would not be safe to design your own seating.
The MO is a five-passenger vehicle. Traveling with six or more is both unwise, unsafe, and illegal in most states due to seat belt laws enacted to protect our children.

| Not possible.... "when i was a kid" all the kids use to pile into the trunk of our hatchback when we went places. No 3rd row was needed. So many safty rules we need to follow today !! Hey, if Britney wants to drive with her kid on her lap so be it !! :D |

We used to go on trips in the station wagon, and we'd fold down the seats and lay in the back in our sleeping bags. Something my son will never experience. Of course, he won't sit on my lap while driving like I did with my Dad a few times either. :D |

| With the lack of cup holders back then, someone had to hold dad's beer... |

| When my brother and his family of 3 came over to visit me, instead of renting a bigger car, I put the mattress of my baby's crib at the cargo area so my bro can lie comfortably there. |

| Ok here's what I'll do to help out. I'll put my seatbelt on and let Britney sit on my lap. It can't get worse anyway even if she hits her head... |

To answer your question, yes you can jury rig up a seat but no, it won't be a safe place to put children. I wouldn't do it.
If you really need a third row for children, get a minivan. |

I understand your question/request. But to be honest I would never, ever have bought Murano if it had a third raw. I think it does what it supposed to do very well. If I had a big family I would have bought a minivan, or a proper SUV if I was in need of towing....sorry to disappoint you but I am in the camp "go and get a minivan"....they are not bad... |

Hello Guys:
Thanks all for the replies I receive. At least a lot of people got to have a smile in their faces reading my third row post.
Then I can conclude that none of you guys would buy a 2009 Murano, Because you can be sure of one thing, It would have a third row.
Lets wait and see......Its better to have it and dont need it, than need it and dont have it.;) |

Oh I've been saying for a long time now that the next MO will definitely have a third row. I'm not sure why Nissan would not put one in, since just the ad "third row" is enough to drive clueless customers into the showroom to look at the vehicle even though that third row will likely be torture to sit in - in the end its about sales and not about catering to a smaller group who would prefer two rows and more space. |

No way. It would require too much of a redesign to include a third row. There just is not enough room.

There will be. The next Murano will be "bigger and better" in a good, old American tradition.....:( |

I have to believe the next MO will be the Altima's new "D" platform too, so they'll make it bigger in the process. I just cannot see how from a business standpoint, they will not put a third row in the next MO. The Pilot and Highlander have it, the MO has to have it, even if it won't be particularly practical. Heck even the smaller RAV4 and Santa Fe have it now too. |
