Has anybody ever heard of these? Are they a good tire for all season? Tire place gave me a price of $114 per tire. Was looking for a good tire for all season in Chicago. Mostly concerned with ride and noise but must be able to handle wet and snow fairly well also. Thanks in advance for anyone who knows anything.

It doesn't look like an all-season tire to me. It appears to be better suited for the warmer climates.

Thats what I thought also. Tire guy says it was a good tire so I thought I'd ask around here. Think I may have him order the Avon tech's instead. I.ve read the reviews on tirerack for that one and they sound good.........or maybe the cross terains. Back to google. Thanks again.

The CTs, although pricey, have gotten some good reviews by forum members.

These are wider than the OEM tires. This will increase noise level, decreases mileage but also improves grip/traction. I think the 235s are already wide enough and bumping it up will not really add much other than more noise and decreased fuel economy.Stick with 235s, there are more choices now than last year.
Thanks

They do look like dry weather tires. Not much channeling for any water. I would think that the car would tend to hydroplane more than stay contacted on the ground in the rain. Definately not for any kind of snow-too wide and not enough tread. The stock Eagle LS is not that bad of a tire for all season tires. They perform well in the winter for the first and maybe the second season. Up in Ontario, Canada (close to Chicago's weather; maybe colder...) they did well for the first two winters. However with tread wear and the compound being too hard for winter; I ended up going full snows for the winter boots:) . If you are looking for all season tires; look for something with a good balance of thread and sipes. Solid areas for good dry condition and water channels for wet condition and a good wear characteristic compound for milage and quiet sound level.
