I wouldn't take this info to heart, since this info is from the middle east where the Murano was not introduced until 2005 (two years after the US). The intellegent key was not introduced until later, so it sound like they are a little behind in the Mo's development there.
One thing that did stand out was the increase in horsepower @ 266hp.

I think in the middle east, they report "gross horsepower", which is of course higher than "brake horsepower." Its the same engine we have, with the same power I think. |

There is one Nissan website in the Middle East that is showing a "2008" Murano on their website. Here's the link: 2008 Murano???

From Joe's link, its 266 GROSS horsepower, albeit at a slightly higher RPM than our MO's (6000 vs 5800). If one remembers the large difference between gross and net (or "brake") horsepower from the muscle cars of the 60's and 70's, I would not be surprised if that MO makes the same or less power than ours. Remember that the European Murano makes 234 PS (metric horsepower, which is about .99 standard horsepower, or pretty much equal).
Its also clear that the Middle East version is more similar to the 03-05 North American MO's (older gauges, interior trim, and grille). |
