Would you accept some non-desperate advice?

get the Toureg V-8.

My personal opinion would be no, but I have no need for or even interest in a vehicle that size.

It all boils down to what you "need" (or maybe "want"). If you need more size and/or power, and don't care about the price or gas, then go for it - it's your money!
TheGymKid
HELL YEA you should do it. Esp, based on what you saying, you don't care about gas. But honestly, no you shouldn't and seriously we can't answer that... did you drive them both? Does one have leather over the other? Do you want bigger or smaller? It's a personal preference which you feel more comforterble in. I love my Mo and wouldn't trade it for one... but that is me. :4:

You are kidding, right? You are asking us whether or not you should trade in you MO for an over-sized pick-up truck? Ninety-nine percent of the members will respond with a resounding NO. Now if you decide to go with a Ferrari, Lotus, Lambo, Viper, etc. then I am sure that percentage will change somewhat. ;)

If you are getting a full size truck, I suggest a Titan or a Tundra. For some reason the domestics really take a hit as far as depreciation and they don't seem to be put together as good. Just my opinion.

No I would never buy any Detroit Product. Their costs for Labor, plus Legacy costs simply do not leave enough money for the vehicle. They are forced to cut corners everywhere they can. It will depreceiate very badly, and deteoriate just as quickly. If you have to buy a detroit vehicle try a Chrysler product, they did learn some stuff from Damiler.

Please excuse me now, as I need to find a deep foxhole to escape the bombs that will be incoming shortly. :D

I agree... No one is going to say they would trade their Mo for another SUV or COV. Although I think I read a post a week or two ago about someone here saying goodbye they sold their Mo for another SUV.... hummmm, let me see if I can find that post.

If money and gas is no object, please get the Bugatti Veyron and invite me for a ride! :2:

If I was in the market for a large pickup, I would much rather pick up a Tundra or a Titan . I would certainly compare the mentioned trucks before you make your plunge into a GMC. My brother has been a finance Manager for Chevy for a long time, and he has owned strictly Japanese, even though he can get the best deal on a Chevy if he wished.

Wasn't it for a Dodge Nitro? Maybe that was something else...

Here is what I would do - I would own the vehicle that gives me a bigger smile when I drive it. If its the Denali, then go for it. You only live once, and in this case, considerations like fuel economy, handling, etc... don't factor into the decision since you already said you don't care about them.

You will lose interior cargo space though with the truck, so why not consider the Yukon Denali, essentially the same vehicle but with a trunk.

If you are willing to wait a little though, the new Toyota Sequoia is coming out, and it will have the awesome 5.7L V8 from the Tundra which will be a pretty good match against the 6L in the Denali.

Being a brand new owner (with only 1200 miles on my MO), IMNO it is pure desperation that would drive you towards a Denali.

It looks like a Pimpmobile.
MurAndo
pimp mobile lolllll u have a point there well i appreciate all da advice guys its definately helpin me out i am starting to lean towards more my MO again but i know once i see another one on the road again il b on the fence. that truck just wowwwd me for some reason

Go for it!! It's really far and above the best truck and SUV platform that the General has had.
Kris
You are truck/SUV guy. I am not. Denali does nothing for me. But if you like it - go for it. It is your call. I am not Murano crazy and I respect other people choices.

I'd personally save the megabucks option for the Denali, and get the same truck in a different trim. Denali's depreciate at an astounding rate. They are nice (if you like that cushy tacky soon to be dated interior), as far as GM's go. I really don't care for the couch on wheels feel though. Like the others here, I'd rather have the Titan or the Tundra.

Being in a truck town, more than two hours from the nearest import dealer (Nissan/Toyota/Honda), it is truly remarkable the inroads these brands have made. People use their trucks up here for work, more than pleasure, and it is really a statement when people are more and more willing to drive several hours to purchase and service such a vehicle.

Anything from the big 3s depreciates exponentially fast with the exception of a few icons like pickup trucks, I6 Jeep TJ, V8 Mustang, Viper & Corvette. Of course, special collectible items like the Grand National are also excluded. I may have forgotten 1 or 2 but this is about it.

It's all about demand & offer. Nobody wants to buy them used because of their poor reliability reputation when the warranty is expired.

Not from me! People like us that have been burned over and over by the big 3 are fed up with unreliable products that bring almost no resale to the table.

By protecting my rights as a consumer and showing Detroit that I will no longer put up with it, that forces them to improve to the same quality, power plant and resale value.

When given a choice of 2 reliable cars that will both have the SAME resale value 5 years down the road, I will be back to Detroit.

Now that you have it what is the decision?
