Nissan Versa Update - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hi

I want to thank everybodys input in new car buying process. Every comment was taken into consideration. Ultimately the choice was based on what fit in our requirement, budget, including the color, driving experience etc.
First, I would like to say that the car dealers have changed quite a bit since I bought a used car about 10 years ago. At that time, I was a poor college grad who wanted to buy a Honda Civic or a Toyota Carolla and I remember the dealers were pretty nasty. Their attitude was "we are Honda/Toyota, take it or leave it kinda attitude". This time however these guys are bending over backwards to sell me a sub-compact!. The Honda dealers were very nice and courteous, made periodic phone calls to find out what I wanted and the Toyota/Scion dealers were not far behind. The Nissan dealers were extra nice. They allowed me to take the car for a weekend test drive! The Kia dealer was a vey young guy who was very nice and eager but clueless.Mazda dealer did not have the car we were looking for.
Anyway, about the Versa. Its a great little car that is full of surprises. Big on the inside and small from outside. Looks like a sub-compact but drives like a larger sedan. Has lots of gadgets that a lot of bigger cars dont offer. Quieter than any other sub compact and more powerful than most small cars. I think it was the best value for the price. The only other car that was little bit more fun to drive was Honda Fit Sport but was 1000 bucks more and little bit noisy. My daughter is having a great time with the car but I am making sure she takes care of it and not be too careless with her driving.

Thanks
