One of my Toyo's blew out on the highway today... I knew I was in the need for new shoes but I didn't think they were blow out bad.
Anyway, I'm going to use one of the national tire dealers this time since I'm traveling all throughout the midwest.
I chose Firestone for their location, customer service and knowledge.
They recomended the Bridgestone Dueler H/TP-Metric OWL |

Did you mean HTS? The Bridgestone site does not list a Dueler HTP.
The HTS comes in only a single size - 265/60-18, which is 0.6" taller (30.6") than the OEM tire (30.0"). The Dueler's tread is 8.5" wide as compared to the LS's 7.3".
The HTS could be a decent tire. What were you quoted?

No they were defenetly H/TP's... the Firestone Manager said they were new this summer.
$165 per tire
They say 235/65/18 on the side.
They seem very similar to my original Goodyears... and much quiter than my old Toyo's |

It looks like Bridgestone needs to update their website to better reflect their product offerings. Not only does their website not show the Dueler H/TP, they don't list a single tire in the 235/65-18 size. :8:

Yep. the Bridgestones are on and all laced up and ready to roll.
So far so good. I'll let you know how they are after a 1000 miles or so [probably next week with the amount of travel I've been doing lately]. |

I would say thats a pretty lousy deal. You can get the OEM Goodyears for $130 each at Discount tires or your local Nissan dealer. If you really want a great deal your local tire guy can get kumho solus KR21 for 100 bucks even out of the door price. I actually got four new KR21 tires for total of $364.I spent a few dollars more taking it to the Discount tire store and balanced it using a Hunter Roadforce balancing machine. These tires are unbelievable value and so quiet.I am not sure I would pay 650 plus for any tire!
Thanks

I am interested in a wheels package for my Murano.
I want to know if this is a good one as the bolt pattern is identical at 5x114.3mm with +35mm offset. It was used on a Ford Explorer before.
The size is 275x45x20 GoodYear tires on Mondera rims.
Price is a bargain at $1500 US for the set.
Anyone has this on their Murano?
Can anyone give me feedback?
The wheels looks like these..... |

nipsirc-
Your proposed 275x45x20 GoodYear tires on Mondera rims are just a shade (0.3") smaller in diameter than the OEM Goodyears.
In my opinion the wheel opening on the MO makes the stock wheels look too small. I prefer aftermarket wheels/tires that better fill the wheel wells.
I guess it all depends on the look you are seeking.

Tires are funny things.
Some rate tires by price. The lower the better and as long as it has "good" performance they are AOK with it.
Some rate tires by performance. The More grip the better and hang the price. They didn't spend 30K to loaf along. And they accept that a 30,000 mile tire is what you get when you want grip. Or maybe even less.
Some equate performance to mileage. As long as they get 50,000 miles from a tire they are happy.
Some even buy 80,000 mile tires...........
Some just look for a safe tire.
I would never run an AB tire on the Murano. Ever.
For free.
1- it is a big heavy vehicle
2- I drive it fast. For hours.
3- I live where it gets hot
But I have no gripe with people that do.
Some don't drive fast, or don't run for hours, or don't drive in AZ,NV, and FL, so they don't have to be so concerned with Temp Ratings.
I am. Concerned with Temp ratings that is.
But one thing is for sure, it is not constructive to compare different KINDS of tires.
