sorry but the search function won't work for me.
Does anyone else have an issue with the rear vents (right in front of the rear doors)? Mine don't blow at all unless the air, or heat is on high - and then it is only light. Is this typical or does my Murano need help?

I think its normal - the Murano doesn't have a blower for the rear - its all the single fan up front. So the airflow to the rear will always be tepid, even on full blast.

Mine blows not bad. The pillar vents can be adjusted left to right to open or close. They also only work when the selector up front is dialed into frontal vents(the 4 main ones on the dash blowing into your face).
If all that doesn't help; I would remove the pillar covers(they pop off at the upper and mid points-2x and lift up) and make sure the ventalation connection at the bottom is sealing properly with the ducting coming up from the floor.
Good luck.... |

Don't know. I am the only one who is ever in the car. Once in a great while hubby rides in the front passenger seat. No one sits in the back. I like it that way.

thanks guys, I'll check the connections under the pillar covers when I'm able to (110 degrees makes working on cars not fun!)

Be sure the system is set to vents only and that the rear vents are aimed up a bit.

fyxtion-
Air, like water and electricity, will always take the path of least resistance. Once the air leaves the fan and enters the distribution plenum it can take the short, direct path to the front vents or the long, circuitous path to the rear vents.
Some SUVs and van have supplemental fans to boost output to the rear vents. The MO does not have that feature.
The rear vents can be closed by sliding the tab either up or down, I forget which. Take a look and make sure they are open. Air flow is weak as compared to the front vents, but they do work.
