Ok guys, you remember that I got a Maremond Cherry Bomb muffler already configured for the MO on eBay, right?
After installing it and still keeping the stock center resonator, I found that the sound was just a tad louder, really not changed enough to be worth all this trouble.
So I decided to go all the way and eliminate the center resonator, replacing it with a 25" high quality glasspack.
This MO now really sound a lot more like a Z than a FX but I like it this way. I'll post a few pictures and a sound clip later on tonight when I have a friend with me to hold the camera while I rev it. :D
Joe is right. It sounds like a V6 boat on steroids! :) |

Was that a bolt on? |

| The exhaust pipe is one piece from the cat to the back (including the resonator) so no it was not bolt-on but rather cut and soldered-on. But the 25" glasspack fits exactly where the old resonator did so it is basically the same length. The another nice thing about it is that you can't see nothing hanging low on the passenger side anymore. |

Ok here are a few pics and a sound clip. I was in the garage so I did not rev it too much. I'll do a driving sample later on today because the sound is very nice when when speeding up.
This is the Maremond Cheery Bomb muffler:
The tips are bigger than the original but they have the same look. I only fitted them outside about 3/4 of an inch from the original position:
This is the 25" glasspack replacing the Nissan resonator:
And here is the soundclip:
