Your best advice to get a good Mo Lease - Click HERE for Original Thread
PaulQ
A very good teacher friend of mine loves my car and has decided to get his own. He waited until this time of year because he thinks he can get a good deal on the 2007 model. (I told him I didn't expect much diff between the 08 and 07 but it's possible).

Anyway - I told him about this great online community and that I would toss this question out to you guys.

Do you have any advice when it comes to LEASING a 2007 Murano?

Any special facts or secret handshakes one should be aware of?

Thanks again for your help!!
:p

P.S. I will probably go with him as the "wing man" at the dealer. I'll deal with my subsequent jealousy later.

Paul-

No one has seen a 2008 US-spec MO, so there is no way to tell how it differs from a 2007.

Ooops! I thought I read something here about the 2008. It must be coming out any day now?!?!

I think he'll still do the 2007 because that's going to be where the deal is.

I think Car & Driver stated that the 2008 Murano will debut this winter. Maybe wait until the new model arrives? If your friend doesn't get the new Murano, he can probalby swing a pretty good deal on a 2007 Murano...

What would be considered a good deal for a lease on an '07 Murano? So far, we're working with $2500 down, $379 per month for 39 mths, 12k yr for a SL AWD touring pkg, loaded w/ everything except nav and the traction control pkg. Thanks!

PaulQ-

Negotiating for a lease is not that different from negotiating for a new car sale. You want to first negotiate for the lowest total price. Then negotiate the residual value. You will be paying for the difference between the two.

Here is a good article from Kiplinger that discusses the art of negotiating an auto lease: CLICK HERE

Good luck.

NJJOE - Thanks for the article!!!

I know this is not exactly what I asked but since it has come up--- I did some research and contacted a friend who is a mechanic at a Nissan dealership. He asked their buyer and was told that they will release a new Murano in Jan 2008 and it will be a "2009" model.
