| I'm seriously considering going into another Mo since the lease on my '04 is almost up. I've completely fallen for the Mo and have started looking for another... Does $2500 down, $379 per mth, 12k per year, 39 months sound good for an SL awd with touring package, & no nav? It's almost identical to the deal I had 3 years ago and I know the '08 is around the corner. Thanks!! |

I can answer some of this...
Do not get a 39 month lease. The warranty is 36 months. It is not worth the risk to take on that 3 month no man's land. If you had a major mechanical failure (e.g. CVT) during that period, you would be screwed.
Based on my recent discussions with a dealer about the 2007 Muranos, they don't seem to be making any special deals on the '07 models yet. In fact, they said they are still getting them in. ??? Not sure if that's true.
The key to a lease is negotiating the price of the car like you were going to buy it first. Then work on the details after that. It is ridiculously complicated but just doing that will help a lot.
Personally, I don't think you should put anything down but you have to gave excellent credit to pull that off.
Good luck! |

Paul's theory is OK, but his example is wrong.
The CVT has a 5 year 60,000 mile warranty........along with the rest of the drive train.
