nah, yall are off base. It's not a sign of a bad filter, it's just an aftermarket refilter device.

I imagine the ad must go something like:
---Now you too can have fresh oxygen produced in your car. Not only does it remove particulate from the outside air, but it refreshes the low O2 levels in your cabin!---

Can't get much more green minded than that!
