| Just bought a Murano with 15k miles . Noticed an antifreeze smell when engine is shut off on hot days (drivers side only as door is open). Dealer could find no leaks and pressure tested for hours with no results.. Anyone else have this situation? |

| There was a previous discussion. Probably the open vent hole on the overflow tank. Perfectly normal. |

Welcome to the forum!
Don't worry about the smell. You'll eventually get used to it. It is a design flaw on the MO. The coolant overflow tank is vented at the cap when it should be vented under the vehicle.

I think we had numerous discussions a couple a years back on this subject. I used to have the anti-freeze smell but not any longer??
Not to be worried, just watch your overflow tank level and if there is any drastic drop in that level maybe something is up.
I did have a metal tube on my 3.5 Altima leak on what I call the dark side of the engine. The part of the engine we can't see near the fire wall. It was covered under warranty but I posted that someplace here as it is the same engine and all as we have in the MO.
There were 2-3 small drops on the garage floor and it would only happen every few days. If I were parked in the street, I'd have never noticed.
