Are there any "did you know" threads that I have overlooked?
By discovering new things in the MO over the last week, I remembered that the Vibe forum I read (which is our second car) there is a thread where people post "did you know" items about the car. With that thread, I discovered there was a storage tray in the dash to the left of the steering wheel (after owning it for nearly 2 years!), that the visors actually slide sideways, etc. It never fails that someone posts something and all kinds of people reply "I had no idea!"
Surely I'm not the only one that doesn't read the manual. :)
I learned from another MO thread last week that we can listen to the DVD system through the factory stereo. I pulled out the manual today to read about something with the cargo area, and lo-and-behold - I had no idea that there's a "sub cover" that pulls toward the rear seats?! And I feel really dumb, but I also had no idea the cover could be removed! I had glanced visually at the bottom of the brackets, and saw the screws, so figured it needed to be physically unscrewed. I had no idea it so quickly and easily could be removed. DOH! :1:
Any other tips and tricks out there? I looked at the sticky "Murano FAQ" thread, but that seems more like general info for prospective or new users.
Be gentle if I overlooked something. :D |

What sub cover are you referring to? |

That would be the forward section of the cargo cover. It took me a week or so before I first noticed it.

Is that the cargo cover that I banished to the garage when I noticed about half of the rattles and squeaks seemed to emanate from it? That would have been about 4 years ago................:D

Unless it's changed in 2006, which is possible...
On the seat side of the cargo cover, there are 2 covers that slide toward the seats, and connect to hooks behind the head rests. I had no idea - but then I've never really looked on the other side of the cover to notice them... |
