I am looking for any helpful tips on something I would normally consider a very simple task! A drivers side headlight change on an 04. :3:
Thanks in advance |

| Lol.............there's like 4,5 or 6 screws holding the lights in and you have to take the bumper off to get to them :x theres also a screw under the bonnet it's a plastic bracket looking piece with a screw on it..good luck :) |

o6murano-
WHAT?!? Are you referring to the halogen or Xenon lamps? I changed my halogen lamps from under hood. Never had to touch the bumper. Except for a skinned knuckle it was a relatively easy task.

| Its also possible to replace the HID bulb without removing the light but its a tight squeeze. |

Ooooh I thought he meant actual HEADLIGHT CHANGE....I didnt know he meant headlight BULB change....but to do that open up the bonnet and I'm not sure about the halogens but on the xenon equipped theres a grey circular cover...twist it and it comes off and I believe then you can change the lights...I've only taken them off to open and paint them I never changed them...hope thats of some help
edit....i went outside and took a picture I accidently took it on the passenger side but it's the same cap on the drivers side...and sorry for the crappy cell phone pic :p

| What a pain! My hands are just too d--- big to fit behind that tiny little space. I found an easier way after jacking with it for a few hours. It was quite easy to go through the wheel well and access the bulb cover and bulb. I removed two plastic retainer "rivets" fasteners or whatever you want to call those things and the thin chintzy plastic wheel well flapped open like a cheap whore, allowing ample access. Thanks for everbodys input. |
