| Dont think you understand how these post become a do not delete. Mine originally was a question that I found an answer too after I created the thread.. Not knowing any better I though the delete thread work,,,,, it doesn't.. dont believe me try it yourself!!!!!! Rather then take up your terribly short time, the next best thing is to change it to a nothing.. Another piece of software that works half way!!!!!!! |

I am confused. Are we to also ignore this thread? :8: If so, then that is three threads we now need to ignore. It's getting hard to keep track of them all. :D

I put up a test thread and deleted it.

I have done that too. If you remember, in the old days some members deleted their starting posts which removed the whole thread. I think the moderators (Eric?) changed it so you can now delete a thread only if no one else has posted in it. There could be a time limit too. |

Mr. Z
I believe that you are right - members can delete theirs threat only of nobody else posted. Only admin can change this option... |

Not sure what the topic of the first post above is, but yeah you cannot delete the ENTIRE thread if your post is just one among many in that thread - you can delete your post I think, but if that is not possible, you can edit it to a blank post.
On the topic of deleting threads, thinking as far back as I can, I don't remember ever actually deleting an entire thread with other people's posts in it. If we (the mods) ever did do it, we'd ask everyone involved first, and there would have to be a good reason to do it in the first place. |

Probably an Admin needs to respond here... but i'll share my thoughts anyhow....
- If you start a thread with a new post, you can NOT delete the first post.
- All posts under it can be deleted by their owners.
- If you want a thread starting post deleted, ask an Admin to delete it for you... they have the ability only.
I've started one and asked them to delete it... it went bye bye.
:7: Cheers |
