well, you all know how much i like the murano. but with my first car i decided to go in a different brand direction. so i was out vacationing in BC and came across a 2000 Mercedes C230 Kompressor with 97000 km on it. absolutely gorgeous, super clean car. well it's my first ride :) enjoy

Good Luck. I had the same style and year but a 320 and it was bloody great. Enjoy.

Nice. It really does look super clean!

Not bad for Nissan apprentice, not bad at all........

Enjoy your new ride!

I love the way C class rides and handles....take it to 200 kph and you really appreciate how it's been engineered...
Lightninrod
Ah, that reminds me of my one and only MB, a new, 1973 280C. Looks like the same engine but no supercharger on mine. The interior is timeless!

i actually have a few days ago. the highway was super empty and i couldn't resist finally experiencing 200 km/h. what a rush and it's incredible how smooth it was. my dad is trading in his mazda 3 in april for an 08 C350 sport. mercedes and audi are the only two european car manufacturers i'd purchase from. i just don't like how exclusive parts are thus making maintnence expensive.

i totally agree, the interior design never get's old. and i'm amazed that the wood is REAL!! i'm debating on changing all the wood trim panels to a piano black finish since i have some cracking in my centre console around the shifter.

Nice car...but do you still have MO??
rtking
Congratuations! Check with ASP (I think?) to see if they have a supercharger overdrive pulley for your version of the M111 motor. I have one on my '02 C230 Coupe and it's worth 30 hp and about 25 lb-ft or torque, though you'll run lean at WOT at the upper RPM band. I've had the pulley on for the last 25K miles with zero issues.

I have to admit that I'm starting to eye a used E500 as my next car. My wife and I love the MO and ours would stay in our stable as the family vehicle.

So, do you still have the MO?
nissanlove
o6 murano and rt king - yes we still have the murano. the murano is my parents vehicle actually. i'm just the one that's obsessed with it

rtking, i was looking into getting the asp pulley but i've heard mixed reviews about overdrive pulleys. some people say that it makes the engine.supercharger combo work less efficiently. others like yourself swear by it. btw, what does WOT mean and is running lean a big issue. i don't want to sacrifice the limited about of higher end power since the M111 engine is pretty rev happy.

Oooh well..good luck with it.

Yes, I have to agree. I took it once to 230 kph and was very surprised with the handling and ride!

I am looking at the same car, but it is just too small for my liking. And the incredible handling and ride it has are for high speeds, I would chock it on our Interstates...;)

WOT means Wide Open Throttle.

Running an overly-lean mixture can lead to detonation which can severely damage an engine.

Enjoy the car for a while. Get use to it. Explore the pulley later on.

ahhh thanks joe :) i don't think i'll be doing any performance mods to my car actually. i checked out the pulley rtking mentioned last night and it's only good for about 8 hp yet it costs over 600 bucks... i think i'll pass.
