350ZZ wheels on a Murano? - Click HERE for Original Thread

Does anybody know if '07 350Z wheels will fit a '07 Mo? My wife doesn't like the SL wheels but likes my Z wheels and said I could get wheels for my car if the Z wheels fit her Mo. I know the 18" diameter and bolt pattern will be ok, just not sure about caliper clearance and rubbing when turning. I'll be putting the stock Mo tires on the Z wheels.

The Z wheels are:
front - 18x8 w/ +30 offset
rear - 18x8.5 w/+30 offset

I beleive the Mo wheels are:
18x8 w/ +40 offset

I will try a fitting with the Z wheels and tires but any help would be appreciated.

easiest way to check is to throw them on your MO and see how they fit first hand:) i'm pretty sure the murano's stock offset is +35

Thanks for the correction. I'm pretty sure they will fit, but haven't tried them yet.

Why? Not that different from stock 1/2" width. Makes sparing and rotation difficult.

The main reason is my wife doesn't like the stock wheels and the Z wheels are actually good looking and I can get new Z wheels. The rotating is not to big a deal to me. I can do side to side rotating and the new wheels will the same diameter as the spare.

Yes you can.
Just make sure you don't buy directional tires.

Some tire shops (Sears, among others around here) won't do side-to-side rotation, only front<->back. I never quite understood that, but they say it has something to do with the way the tires start to wear, and if you rotate them side-to-side, then they're going "against the grain" so to speak and reduces the life of the tire.

I never bought into it... but whatever. You ever heard of that?

Yeah, I have heard of it.
I have discussed it with my Tire guy.
My BMW can have stock wheels/tires from the M version that are bigger in the rear.....

My Tire guy, Mickey Franklin, will do it, but warns that the tires will be relatively noisier after the rotation for a short while.

The trick is to rotate with short intervals. Say 3K miles. And maybe no more than 5K.

Never heard about that about side to side rotating.

Or located 4 fronts or 4 rears.

Also, the Murano rims are 18x7.5", IIRC. Should be no problem.

Side to side rotating is useless. Front tires wear "round" because of camber when the wheels are turned, and rear wheels wear "flat". As well, your drive tires will wear much faster. You rotate front to back to correct the round wear, even the wear and thus get maximum life from your tires.

I'm still going to try the Z rims on the Murano. Just haven't had time yet.

Thanks for the info and picture. I was pretty sure they would fit. I need to get new Z wheels first so I can change both cars at the same time since the Z is my daily driver.
