I just purchased my 2007 Murano S in silver. I just drool at the thought of this car with some 20" black/ silver polished lip wheels. I have searched and searched but can't seem to find any silver Mo owners that have done this. I would like to get an idea of what it'd look like before I pull the trigger. I have seen a couple lowered black Mo's with 20's but I'm not interested in messing with the suspension. Any stock height Mo owners out there rolling on 20's?
Also, if anyone knows the best offset, the bolt patern, and the best tire size to not effect the mph/odo much I would really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance. |

gixxerpoke-
Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new purchase.
There are many MOs riding on 20" wheels, I am sure some of them must be silver. I have attached a pic of socalkend's silver MO that has 22" silver rims.
This link will take you to a tire size comparator that will enable you to determine the effect the alternate sizes have on the speedometer: Tire Size Calculator
Don't forget to post pics when you get the new wheels.
Good luck,

Thanks for the reply and welcome, njjoe.
One more question, is the air pressure sensor in our wheels transferable to aftermarket wheels? And if not, what are the effects of them not being present other than the pressures reading **? |

I'm sure there are some Silver Muranos on Black 20's here.
If not, check out Cardomain.
Or you can check out this gallery of FXs (just to give you an idea of the color scheme and various wheel styles.)

Muranos and FXs have the same bolt pattern too.
TPMS will fit most wheels.
Technically, they don't have to be mounted on your aftermarket wheels. Your console will alarm like crazy though telling you that you have a flat.
For my Titan, I don't have the TPMS installed. Fortunately, it's just a little warning light that turns on.
Axis Wheels has some deals on some 20s right now...

Nice wheels!
I still think they are wasted on the Murano........look the empty space above the tire! It does not look good......and there is nothing we can do about it........:( |

I need tires. As soon as I do I will put pics up for sure. While Im at it, Im looking for some opinions on tires.
Originally I was looking to get 255/50/20 since they are the same outer circumference as stock but actually having a little bit of trouble finding reasonably priced tires in that size.
A friend of mine works at a repair shop and has a "hook up" with the tire shop next door. Anyways, they said I could get Falken 265/50/20s mounted, balanced, and installed with TPMS for $625. I know the tires are little bit bigger than stock, but not much. Plus it will close the gap between the tire and fender a little bit. I have been searching the threads for other people with that size tire, but does any one have first hand experience? Any rubbing? Think I can find a better price?
Thanks |
