Replaced my second car and that engine bonnet is the reason I went away from the rogue. I have it on my murano and when I trade it it will be for something else

thanks!
You should understand that the “Engine bonnet sun glare” may not bother everyone. I am well over six feet and drive with the seat fully up and the sun only gets me at this time of year near noon. My shorter wife on the other hand has not had a problem with the glare. This week I was driving near noon when the glare should have been bad and “it was not bad at all”. Yes I could see that the bonnet was very bright but not to the level I would have to shield my eyes like I did before. In short I am very happy with the results. You are not likely to see the difference in the look of the bonnet from the outside and from the inside it looks fine.

I have only had my new Murano a couple of days and have already run into the severe glare off the hood area near the windshield problem... It is pretty bad with my silver Murano. You'd think Nissan would would have addressed this by now...

I am considering purchasing polarized sunglasses, but I notice they say that they can sometimes interfere with viewing some LCD displays -- have you had any problems viewing the Murano's LCD displays with your polarized sunglasses?

Oh Yes! Polarized definitely play havoc with LCD displays. I have to raise my shades to see the LCD screen.
You can also see spots in the glass on the side windows, something I have noticed since Polarized were first introduced.
Guess it's a trade off, but given that I will use the shades.

I've always found it interesting to see the difference between British and American words in the automobile world...and English is my second language!Here are a few examples:
Bonnet=hood
Boot=trunk
Wing=fender
Tyre=tire
Kerb=curb
Petrol=gasoline
Spanner=wrench

Back to topic, the glare is back for me now that the sun is higher in the sky.

I have got the glare only a few times. I'm 6'2". My wife, who is 5'2", has never complained about it. I find that interesting.
