Question How to prevent rusting on the wheel well lip ?

The area of the wheel well lip seems to be prone for the paint to bubble and then rust to develop. I would like to prevent it on my newly purchased 2014 Murano SL in Pearl white.

Will Wheel well lip molding prevent such future rusting, especially in winter when salt and snow stick to it. Have you installed and what type of molding did you purchase ?
Any other alternative measures to prevent the rust to develop?

Thanks

Garage
The only real prevention is frequent washing. Anything that holds moisture and salt against the car like molding will promote rusting, not prevent it

Thanks for the quick reply. Good advice. Better to invest in a good hose wand so I can wash the wheel wells off in my garage especially in the Winter.

And keep the area waxed for another layer of protection.
