Supplemental Air Bag Warning Light - Just Came On !!

EEK !! I have had this 2006 MO S with 24k for less than 2 weeks. So Far:
- The no sun roof ceiling appears to leak - head liner stained near visors - dealer has supposedly fixed, rain and time will tell.
- Now yesterday the Supplemental Air Bag Warning Light came on. It is located in the center of the dash by the speedo.

Manual says nothing about it EXCEPT to take it to the dealer. The light has to do with Passanger Air Bag, Air Curtain, and Restraint system. What could this be? Is there a way to reset this light? I have removed the battery terminals, no luck.

Any help on this one?

OK, just found this. May help at least in the reset. Hope that is all it is. I had taken out the Map light and disconnected the harness to the Passanger Side Air Bag off light the night before this dash light started blinking. Maybe it just needs to be reset because I disconnected the harness ??? Not Likely. But will try it and see.

The above link worked like a charm to get the light to turn off. No more blinking.

Now I hope that the reason it turned on in the first place was simply because I had disconnected the Passanger Air bag light harness the night before while working on the antenna.

Time will tell ... or it is off to the dealership

I think it is a safe bet to assume the disconnected harness is what triggered the warning light.

Yes that is what I am guessing too. The more I thought about it afterward the more I think so.

It was late and dark when I was disassembling the Map Light to get at the antenna base. Once I had done my work on the antenna, I think I turned on the key sitting in the passanger seat to check to see if what I had done had any effect. The harness was still disconnected. I am thinking this triggered the warning.

Your comment confirms my thoughts and adds to my piece of mind.

Hello
I own murano 2006 for about two months.
And i have a problem. Air bag warning light is on. All the time.
So i went to the nissa dealer. They did a diagnostics and said that propably is computer eror because with that test they could test everything accept airbag, and that new compiter for airbags costs 1000$.
Do you have any idea what else could be. What should i do?

My '09 SL Murano is going to the dealer for a blinking airbag light on the dash. The passenger seat doesn't register when someone is sitting on it to turn it off or on (the airbag). I'll let you know what they say since it's covered under warrenty.

Seat sensor needs replaced and the dealer will need the vehicle for 3-4 hours they said. It's covered under warranty for me....
