Suggestions to replace OEM 2014 Platinum tires

Hi everyone!

I was hoping to get some feedback on tires. Currently I'm at about 25k on a 2014 Platinum Murano AWD. The OEM 235/55/r20 Toyo Proxes are about $1650 bucks to replace and my tires are getting worn. I like these tires, but I wanted to see if anyone had any opinions about alternatives to the OEM tires. My main concern is getting a good tire that will last but doesn't have a lot of road noise and I was hoping you guys have some suggestions or can share your experiences so I can make the best choice for my Mo'.

Thanks!

I had great experience with Nitto tires NT420s. Its cheaper and could compete with proxes and tread looks way sexier.

The 20 inch Tires on my 2016 Platinum are Brigstone Dullers I am replacing the entire wheel /tire assembly. After a false start with Vogue tires of 20" design I have ordered and awaiting delivery of smaller 18 alloy wheels and Michelin Premier Ltx H rated ( V rating available almost same price) This will gain me over a full inch of side wall height, hoping for a lot smoother ride to ease my damaged cervical spine. I will have a full set of reall good looking OEM 2016 Chrome Platinum wheels (perfect mounted with TMPS senders and the Bridgestone tires with about 925 miles on them if you or anyone else is interested. I am in the Phoenix area but I can use the shipping boxes from my up coming delivery

2016, White, Platinum,
1 Sill lights,
2 Chrome surrounds rear reflectors, side mirror led.
3 Fully undercoated for sound deading
4 Special Roller Walker, sits upright in rear.
5 20" replaced by 18; wheels
In Progress Yellow fog lamps, led cup holders, Acousta mat of interior.

There is a ton of great info in the road tests and reviews at Tirerack.com and Discountire.com. Reviewing the threads in this tire and wheel forum is a good idea, as the question has been asked many times before.

I received my new wheels and tires.

My New 19 inch American Racing Wheels and the Michelin Premier LTX tires.
The tires are pre mounted. and have the LTPM senders in place. They came with chrome lugs keyed for anti-theft. They are also pre balanced. I am hoping to put them on my Mo this weekend and then get to the dealer to get them tuned to the car computer. The wheels look fantastic. I will post a picture when they are on the car along with a picture of the 20 chrome the Mo came with. I am hoping the big expenditure was worth it. By the way I read every review of tires you could imagine before I made the last purchase, fortunately I was able to cancel the Vogue tire order, nothing wrong with the tire just the extra hasel of getting wheels, TPMS senders, mounting, etc. Gripper

Well how nice of you to remember me. I guess that the draw of the Mo lives on forever. I went through some nice cars since the Mod Mo and befoe this one. A 2014 Hyundi Equuis, A Couple of Chrysler 300's and a Genesis. But here I am back happy in a Mo again. Only had a chance to add a few trinkets, Chrome do das and the new wheels and Tires. One of the big reasons was that my whife Carol came down with Parkinsons in the last few years and here roller walker fit the Mo perfectly and I don't have a deep trunk to try and lift it out of. I am now 81 and retired or tired whichever fits. I hope to do some under caoting in the wheel wells to add a little quite.
Tell me what are you doing these days both personally and automotive wise.

Expensive yet Michelin tires are known to have a good tread life and road performance.
