Continental CrossContact LX25

This will replace the LX20 this Summer. Hopefully, they will have the size to fit Platinum models this time. I had good luck with the LX20 on my 2014 my only complaint was a little road noise.

Well, that does indeed look very much like tread.

Can't say that it looks very different from hundreds of other tread designs I've seen, but yuppers, that's darn sure a tread pattern.

Continental is a good company, and their tires are good products. I'm sure the tires will perform decently, but with a new tire, who knows?

As noted in another thread, I like to check reviews on Tire Rack's website to see what people think of tires I'm considering. I can't tell much about performance or behavior by looking at tread, but that tire looks like a pretty conventional all-purpose passenger car tire from the photo.

I note that they say it competes with the Goodyear Assurance tire; I have those on a Jeep Grand Cherokee and they're no more than an acceptable highway tire, and fair to middlin' on snow. I would hope that the Conti has better wet and snow traction.
