Back in my days, I upgraded to Porterfield R4S brake pads and Brembo blank (not drilled or slotted) rotors with great results. Firm strong brakes, completely fade free, gentle on rotors, and minimal dusting/noise. These pads will outperform the OEM pads.

There are many pad and rotor combinations that will "outperform" (meaning depends on the application and results desired) the OEM equipment in specific applications. However, most Murano drivers are using their cars for family transportation or everyday driving.

The OEM rotors and pads are absolutely sufficient for normal driving, and it's quite easy to get into much more expensive parts that are not needed for normal driving. The OEM pads generate less brake dust than many aftermarket pads, and Brembo rotors are high performance parts which aren't needed for normal driving.

Do your homework before buying what someone else regards as an "upgrade." It may be worthwhile for you, or it may not.
