Loud squeak/slight grind from front suspension under braking (video)

hey guys,

need a bit of help. I have an '07 Murano and under light braking there's a consistent squeaking noise coming from the front driver's side wheel. It's consistent with the revolutions of the wheel.

I have changed the pads and rotors. Control arm and outer tie rod have been replaced as well. None of the repairs have resolved the noise issue. It seems that the noise appears after a few miles of driving, not immediate.

if i missed something while searching for the solution, please point me in the right direction!

(sorry, not allowed to insert a URL for the video due to my low post count...)

thanks in advance!

I have the same issue when backing up and braking. Especially if my car sat overnight with rain.

OP, just another idea, check the metal dust shield behind the rotor. Look for a slightly bent shield that might be touching the rotor. I had a small peddle lodged behind the dust shield once that cause some squeaking noise in the same condition you described.

thanks, will double check. I did go over the whole braking assembly twice... two sets of pads, then re-surfaced rotors followed by a brand new set. I'm starting to suspect that it might be the axle causing the noise.

Garage
Let me know if you come up with a solution, my 07 has this issue as well, only when I start up for 2-3 minutes, then goes away.
