My 2005 SL has no side rails, but it looks like I can install a rack according to NSN

Is there anyone else out there with an SL AWD that does not have side rails? I'm the 4th owner of this car so I'm guessing a dealer removed them at some point for a quick profit. On the Nissan Parts site it looks like they have a kit for the SL (at an outrageous price) but see side rails on Ebay for cheaper. I just want to make sure I am not wasting time or money. I really can't find anything about side rails and the SL, it seems like it's mostly the S base owners that don't have these things.

Thanks for your time!

I'm not sure where you are located but I would try a salvage yard or "pick a part" places if there is one near by. You can probably get one for cheap that way if you're lucky to find a salvaged 1st gen Murano.

I believe he means the roof side rails...in order to install a roof rack/box of their choice.
