2006 Murano SL AWD CVT Fluid

Hello all,

My 2006 Murano SL AWD has 122k miles on it, and never had the CVT fluid or filter changed. Should I take it to the dealer or a mechanic to have the fluid drained and filled (never flushed!)?

It still runs but whines sometimes when going up hills. I noticed when I did a wheel bearing some fluid came out and it looked black. Plus I cannot remove the dipstick, it won't come out.

The dipstick has a little clip on it that you have to release to let it come out.

I would have the fluid replaced if you're wanting to keep the car around.

My Murano always needs Maintenance.

I'm going to change my radiator this weekend and since I'll have the cooler lines off, I'm going to go ahead and change my fluid since its overdue as well. I got 11 quarts ready. Should be plenty for just draining the pan and whatever is in the cooler and lines. I don't think there's a filter.
