2010 LE or 2013 SL

Hi everyone!

I'm new to the forum and probably a future owner of a MO. I'm shopping for a used MO and kinda in between two cars right now, so I have no idea which would be a better choice and I'd love to hear your opinion.

#1 . 2010 Murano LE - 68k mi -(it has everything besides headreast dvds)
#2 . 2013 Murano SL - 62k mi -(the head unit is the one with navi but that's all, no other extras like rear heated seats, nor electronic adjustable steering, standard SL)

The difference in price between the two is that the 2013 is $2500 more expensive.

I like that the 2013 head unit has a2dp, usb connection, touch screen, better maps (update available for 2016) , at the same time I like the LE interior better, but the question is, is it worth the money?

Thanks and appreciate all your input!

With the 2010, you will have Nissan's CVT Warranty Extension (10 years/120,000 miles). The 2013 will not have this. Something to think about! The LE is nice, plus you get the 20" wheels! Maybe I'm biased!

Take care!

Jim

Thanks for your reply Jim!
I like the interior of the 2010 better than the 2013 and sure 20" wheels , but the only thing that I hate is not having that higher resolution display and a2dp bluetooth (I'm too geeky lol).

You made a good point about the CVT warranty which I believe it's a peace of mind nice to have.

I have an LE and although I'm biased, the only con I can give it is 20" tires cost a lot more than 18" tires.
I think I spent around $950 installed (with discount) for my Michellins. On cars like these, you have to have good tires to maintain ride comfort / reduce road noise.

However the fancy interior with heated front / rear seats, heated steering wheel, nav, etc. are worth the cost...my $.02

Awesome! that's what I have too and would have recommended you get. Welcome to the LE club!

I have the factory navigation in mine already, but there must be a way for you to add it to your 2010 LE! Either the nissan one or an aftermarket? Then you can have everything you wanted.

Fyi there is only approx a $30 dollar difference in price between tires going from 18" to 20"...So not that big of a diff really overall

OP - Congrats on the LE purchase!

I have the factory navigation too and as I said before, the only thing I'm missing is bluetooth streaming present on newer models, but other than that, it's an awesome car! I really love it.

There is likely more leg room in the 2010 over the 2013 as the newer MO's after 2010 got smaller inside to accommodate for tinnier people. :P

Are you maybe confusing the 2010 murano with the 3rd GEN that's a 2015? Both the 2010 and 2013 are exact same dimensions, so not sure how one got more room then the other?! lol
