  1. Bridgestone Ecopia H/L 422 Plus

    Tires & Wheels
Sorry I didn't say anything about road noise. They are quiet. I would say pretty much the same as Michelin.
  2. Bridgestone Ecopia H/L 422 Plus

    Tires & Wheels
I've had two sets of Bridgestone Ecopia tires, both on Honda Insights. I was into "super mileage" at that point, and can say they perform well in the wet (120 mile commute in Western Washington state), they were fine for handling, wore as good as the Michelins they replaced, and added 3-4 mpg...
  3. Front dash cam. Where to get power?

    3rd Gen (2015+)
My dash cam is tapped into the rear view mirror, and turns on and off with the accessory side or on side of the power switch. If I remember correctly the green wire is the accessory on wire on the mirror.
  4. Be afraid, be very afraid!

    3rd Gen (2015+)
Exactly one of the BIG reasons I bought an SV, I realize that electronic tech is a super big deal these days, and concert hall entertainment is almost a requirement in new cars, but I frankly don't need any more distractions while I am driving (and I suspect nobody else does either). But then I...
  5. Jeep or not to Jeep, that is the question?

    General Discussions
Sovreign, My wife traded her Cadillac Eldorado for our first GC, while commuting 60 miles round trip and never once missed a day because of black ice or snow during the winter. She even helped other stranded drivers by taking them to work or home. I prefer a Jeep GC to a Murano, too. I...
  6. Jeep or not to Jeep, that is the question?

Don't know if I am an expert on the subject, but I have owned 6 Grand Cherokees and 1 Cherokee. All were the high end of the model line, and the ONLY problems I had were - upholstery on driver's seat wore prematurely (leather), had a battery expire after only 24 months, and one cracked exhaust...

Walmart has PlastX 10 oz. bottle for $6.50. Have used it on vinyl convertible windows and plastic headlight covers on my Alfa to keep them clear - Works GREAT!
  8. 2009 MO rear license plate bolts

    2nd Gen (2009 - 2014)
Just had this problem today. Went to the hardware store and bought two well nuts and corresponding screws and washers. Took a screw remover tap in my electric drill and pulled the Nissan fasteners out through the holes (essentially melted them out by using friction). Cleaned up the holes with...
  9. Engine Air filter. Stock vs alternatives.

    3rd Gen (2015+)
Have been using K&N drop-in's and Filterchargers for at least the last 20 years. No problems, and no accelerated wear contrary to what some "experts" may say. One of my vehicles had over 200K with a drop-in K&N and never used oil. I don't know if there was any horsepower or torque increase...
  10. Adding lights in Grille

    2nd Gen (2009 - 2014)
Did you remove the entire face of the panel, or insert them through a hole in the end of the panel? I was going to split the panel and try to use all 20" of the tube by bending it around.

Great! Just what I was looking for. I have considered modifying the extension panels for DRL's but hadn't found a good solution until now. Thanks.
  12. Adding lights in Grille

    2nd Gen (2009 - 2014)
Very nice, and personally, I like them better than the stock Nissan version. Think I will try it, I currently have DRL's mounted under the grille about the same level as the fog lights. Rizwalla, here did you get the LED's you utilized for your installation?
  13. Tacoma vs Frontier

    Other Automobiles
I had a 2006 Frontier Club Cab. Before I bought it, I compared it to a Tacoma. I liked the full frame on the Frontier, the sprayed bedliner and all-metal utili-track loading/tie-down system, and the powertrain combination. I put over 50,000 miles on it, and it was the ultimate in reliability...

The lights in the photo are OEM Murano Daytime Running Lights. You can get them at your Nissan Dealer. Also available on Ebay. Prices range $400-500 on Ebay.
  15. Sluggish Murano '14 - Dealer recommending Fuel injection cleaning

    2nd Gen (2009 - 2014)
#1 Techron fan! Techron will do as much or possibly more than any dealership fuel injector cleaning. I went to Dallas to pick up an Oldsmobile with about 30K on it, driving back to Seattle. By the time I got to Twin Falls, Idaho it would barely do 55MPH with the pedal almost to the floor. I...
