  1. Farewell, all

    2nd Gen (2009 - 2014)
Today I traded in the 2010 Murano for a Subaru Crosstrek. I was looking to downsize and was very interested in the Rogue Sport, but the Subaru just felt better. A tremendous thank you to all of you - I've learned a great deal, had some good discussions, and whenever I needed help or advice I...

    2nd Gen (2009 - 2014)
Exactly my experience when I ordered and installed in 2010.
  3. Nissan Murano DIY Daytime running lamps installed (conversion)

    2nd Gen (2009 - 2014)
I installed OEM LED running lights back in 2011. They cost around $550 for the part and I installed myself. It is not a trivial task and $200 for the install is worth it, in my opinion. You may be able to find the running lights for cheaper somewhere on the internet, since it's for an older...
  4. F/S Carpeted Floor Mats & Cargo Mat - 2nd Gen

    2nd Gen (2009 - 2014)
I got the dealer to throw in all weather mats and liner at time of purchase, so these mats are brand new and unused. Asking $100 + shipping for all pieces in the 48 contiguous States. If you are local to Atlanta, can come pick them up or meet somewhere convenient. 2010 Murano Beige OEM 2...
  5. Quiet "real" all season tires?

    Tires & Wheels
I can't speak for snow, since we get so little of it here in Georgia. The one time I had to drive on snow and ice i didn't get faster than about 5mph in bumper-to-bumper roadjam. But ... I have had both the Michelin Latitude Tour HP and the Pirelli Scorpion Verde Plus, and would highly...
  6. Weathertec rubber floor mats -

    Accessories
I've had both Husky and Weathertech floor liners in other vehicles, and I think they are great. Even got a set of them for my daughter when she bought her first new car (a Corolla). In my Murano I have the Nissan all-weather mats. While they don't provide the same coverage as a digital fit...
  7. Had a disagreement with a short post ...

    2nd Gen (2009 - 2014)
Fortunately damage was restricted to the doors, and nothing on the undercarriage was hurt. So they are going to get new doors, paint them, move the glass, electrics, and interior trim over, install, and adjust the fit. They're going to pop out the unrelated ding on the driver's side, too.
  8. Had a disagreement with a short post ...

    2nd Gen (2009 - 2014)
... and the post won. I had backed into the parking area of a local trailhead. When I went to pull out and turn right, I ran over a short post and buckled the bottom of both passenger doors. There was about 18" of the post above ground, hidden in thick grass, and considering that it didn't so...
  9. Just what are those "Lights"?

    2nd Gen (2009 - 2014)
I believe the area you have highlighted simply has a faceted chrome backing inside. No lights.
  10. Need parts help 2010 Nissan Murano

    2nd Gen (2009 - 2014)
Yep, that grille is a booger to get off and back on. The plastic clips are hard to get to and fragile. I'd recommend studying how it goes on very, very closely before starting to remove, and to remove it very, very carefully. As I recall from installing the DRLs a few years back, you can work it...
  11. I'm Back Baby with a new MO!

    2nd Gen (2009 - 2014)
Welcome neighbor - I'm on the other side of Atlanta from you.
  12. Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Tire

    Tires & Wheels
Resurrecting an old thread here, but I was looking for a good place to post my impressions of the Pirelli Scorpion Verde Plus. I replaced a set of Michelin Latitude tires with the Pirellis based on the good reviews specifically for the Murano, and on the cost savings compared to Michelin. First...
  13. Shiny Tires on the Cheap

    Detailing
Hahaa. I quite agree, Pilgrim. I have heard this, too. I've been using various tire dressings for quite some time now and I have not had tires crack. They either wear down as you'd expect or have an unfortunate encounter with a piece of sharp debris.
  14. Shiny Tires on the Cheap

    Detailing
I was in Dollar Tree and noticed they had a small automotive section. I needed some tire cleaner/shiner so I decided to pick this up. For $1. I did not have high expectations, but here it is one week and one commute home in hard rain later. Seems worth the money.

They must have hired the guy who got fired from Hyundai for his awful design.
